“Our project was a very complicated historical renovation and repurposing of two buildings in Downtown Fort Madison: the former Cattermole Library and the former Lee County Bank building. We were utilizing both historic renovation tax credits and CDBG funds, so there were a lot of very important rules that needed to be followed. We engaged Schickedanz Construction to be the construction manager on these two projects, and we couldn’t be happier about our decision. Mark, Pebbles, and Louis were very easy to work with. They kept me informed of the progress, and provided valuable insight to help manage costs and to work through the inevitable issues that arise in historic renovations.
